Our People
Camp Directors
Liam and Joanna Tait have been part of the Hope Valley family since 2012, when they first served together running the teens program. Their shared passion for camp ministry, discipleship, and building into the next generation has shaped their lives ever since.
Liam serves as Camp Director, overseeing camp operations, programs, and ensuring that Hope Valley remains a place where children and youth can encounter Christ. Joanna serves alongside him, bringing her leadership, organization, and heart for ministry to every aspect of camp life. They have one son, Theo, and are currently in the adoption process to grow their family.
Staff Care & Spiritual Ministries
"Uncle David" and "Aunt Elly" Marshall have been pillars of Hope Valley’s ministry for over 30 years.
David serves as the Staff Care Manager & Spiritual Ministries Leader, leading chapel sessions, mentoring staff, and guiding the team in spiritual growth. Elly has served in many roles, including camp cook, office administrator, tuck shop manager, and quiet corner leader.
Their dedication to the well-being of both staff and campers is a blessing to the Hope Valley community!
Facilities Manager
We are currently searching for a Facilities Manager to help oversee the camp’s grounds, maintenance, and operational logistics. If you or someone you know is interested in this role, please contact us for more details.
Office Administrator
As a newer member of the team, Lori Anderson serves as Office Administrator, assisting with camp operations, administration, and communication throughout the year. She helps manage registrations, schedules, and office logistics, ensuring that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.
Join Our Office Team! We are looking for one more team member to serve in the office part-time (approximately two days a week) throughout the year. If you’re interested in supporting camp operations and serving in a ministry setting, we’d love to hear from you!
Our Dedicated Volunteers
While the staff listed above are the most visible, Hope Valley’s ministry would not be possible without the many dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
From maintenance and facilities upkeep to program support, bookkeeping, ministry follow-up, and countless other essential tasks, these individuals play a crucial role in keeping camp running smoothly both during the summer and throughout the off-season. Though too numerous to name, their contributions are deeply valued and essential to fulfilling our mission.
We are incredibly grateful for each person who serves, giving their time and energy to ensure that every child who comes to Hope Valley has a life-changing experience centered on the Gospel.
