Food Donations
Hope Valley is operated solely by donations and with volunteer staff who dedicate their summer and sleep on the grounds overnight. The least we can do for them is ensure they get wholesome meals during their stay on the grounds. There are approximately 135 meals per summer (not including weekends) also prepared by volunteers. The staff count ranges between 50-75 people at each meal. Food donations help reduce our operating costs and keep our staff healthy and happy! The following is a list of food items that are typically needed most during the summer:
- Boxed Cereals
- Canned juices or juice boxes
- Canned meats (i.e. tuna, salmon, ham, etc.)
- Lunch snacks (i.e. puddings, fruit cups, cookies, granola bars, etc.)
- Pasta / Rice
- Pasta sauce / tomato sauce
- Canned soups (i.e. mushroom, tomato, etc.)
- Cheese blocks / cheese slices
- Chips, nachos, snack mixes, etc.
- Salsa & dips (dried seasonings)
- Brown paper lunch bags / sandwich bags
- Napkins
For those who would prefer, money can be contributed toward the purchase of food for staff.
Annual Mega-Yard Sale Fundraiser

Unfortunately we cannot accept used toilets, used mattresses of any kind, or large fabric covered sofas.
